Introduction:
I previously review OBAGE MT-600 which is also quite good in its segment but now OBAGE company has upgraded its popular home theater series, made it even better, and launched a new 4.1 audio system. The audio quality was amazing which you can’t get even with a soundbar of Rs 15000/-.
That’s why I have once again reviewed the new OBAGE HT-101 home theater audio system.

The special emphasis on clarity makes it ideal for music lovers. The special thing is that the bass does not distort the vocals. The bass is deepened to the lowest frequencies and the treble is gentle on the ears.

Flat Sound Signature:
The flat sound signature is for audio lovers, not volume lovers. The vowels sound clear, crisper, and firm, without tiring.

Four satellite speakers are found inside the box along with a sub-woofer. The sub-woofer is quite heavy and its box is made of a 12mm MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) wooden board. The satellite speaker enclosure is also made from the same 12 mm MDF wooden board.
A Wooden Board enclosure for the speaker is much more good for the speaker, it dampens the echo and distortion in comparison to a plastic enclosure. Speaker & Sub-woofer Speaker covered with a metallic grid.
The six-inch driver is given as a sub-woofer and the four-inch driver as a satellite speaker producing total 65-watt RMS max sound output.
This music system is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 for faster and flawless connectivity. It has an in-built FM radio tuner which can be tuned and controlled from the given front panel. Playback from the SD/MMC card by inserting it into the given dedicated slot is supported.
Also, playback from the pen drive by connecting to the USB port is supported. You can also connect Mic to the input given at the back side of the sub-woofer cabinet.
You can adjust volume, bass, and treble as per your preference by manually rotating the knob provided at the back of the subwoofer enclosure.
The LED display is given to get information like the number of the audio track played, Frequency of FM stations, volume level, and playback mode.
It comes with a remote, aux cable, composite audio cable, and warranty card.
Two-color variants are available in black and wooden colors as woody.
I perform sound tests after eight hours of the burn-in test. The sound quality is amazing and soothing to the ears. Even a higher range product of a similar configuration can’t give you such a natural and thumping sound.
Tip:
- Before making any judgment about the sound quality, let the system play song for at least eight hours (not continuously) you can take a break for a day and continue the next day. Because new speaker takes time to achieve flexibility in their cone.
- Place the speaker on a non-vibrating hard surface and avoid placement of the subwoofer and satellite speaker close to each other.
- For distortion-free sound adjust and keep the volume knob not more than eighty percent.
- Avoid playing distorted music on any speaker system. Distortion is bad for the health of the speakers.

Final thought:
I purchased a month ago Obage HT-100 for my living room. The sound is very clear and soothing to the ear. I can listen to music in this system for long hours. If you are looking for the best home theater in such a low price range then I assured you it gives you peace of mind.
But I want to tell you that this is not meant for loud listeners and for those who want rattling windows from fake bass. The audio quality depends upon the placement of speakers and the room in which it placed. If the room produces echoes then it will totally ruin the listening experience.
It is best for audiophiles.
